The annual MHPSummer party took place last Friday (05.07.2013) at the MHP headquarters in front of the Reithaus event location in the Ludwigsburg Film and Media Centre (FMZ). Over 1800 guests accepted the invitation, had a great time and enjoyed the wonderful weather.
Dr. Ralf Hofmann, Chairman of the Board of Management, welcomed the guests and gave a brief review on the positive economic development of MHP. After the very good fiscal year that was 2012, MHP is still on course for growth. The number of employees has increased, since the start of the year, from around 820 to 950 persons. Dr. Ralf Hofmann also emphasised that MHP will continue its corporate social responsibility policy in the future. MHP has been a sponsor of the Stuttgart Olgäle Foundation at the Children's Cardiac Centre of the Olga Hospital for 10 years and will remain so in the future. The MHPCares program, in which the MHP employees take on different social and cultural projects, will also be further sponsored. In Ludwigsburg, MHP is delighted to have "given" its name to the MHPArena; it also sponsors the city's Beko Basketball League team, the Neckar Riesen, and the club's basketball academy for young players.
Lutz Meschke, CFO at Porsche AG and recent recipient of the "CFO of the Year Award", highlighted in particular the good and close cooperation with MHP in his talk as the guest of honour at the MHPSummer party. Porsche AG has also enjoyed great growth in the first 6 months of 2013.
Things got even more entertaining in the evening with the cabarett artist Christoph Sonntag from Waiblingen, who listeners to SWR will know in particular from his program "Alte Zeiten Neue Zeiten". The guests then danced at the following party until the early hours of Saturday morning.
