MHP no. 2 in "IT survey" of automotiveIT

MHP came a close second in the current "IT survey 2012" of the most important IT consultancy firms in the automotive industry

Freiberg a. N., 30.03.2012 – Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP) came a close second in the current "IT survey 2012" of the trade magazine  "automotiveIT" and PwC on the most important IT consultancy firms in the German automotive industry. Around 350 top managers were consulted as part of the survey on the most important IT consultany firms in Germany. MHP was, in this connection, able to significantly close the gap to SAP Consulting, the no. 1 IT consultancy firm, from 6% to just 1.4% in comparison to last year. This is further proof of the high automotive competence of MHP.

Additional focal points of the survey lay on the importance of individual IT topics and predictions regarding the development of the IT budget for 2012/2012.

According to the survey, the most important IT topics for the automotive sector in 2012 are:

1.      BI
2.      IT security
3.      ERP harmonisation
4.      Standard software
5.      Infrastructure

Over 40% of those surveyed reckon that the IT budget of automotive companies will increase in 2012. In addition, the influence of IT on strategic corporate planning has, in comparison to last year, significantly increased from - on average - 5.14% to 6.2% (value: 1 = not at all, 10 = very intensive) according to those surveyed. An indication for the increasing importance of IT in companies.

All the results from the study can be found in the 03/2012 issue of automotiveIT.
