MHP to become sponsor for Stuttgarter Kickers

MHP agrees partnership with traditional Stuttgart club

Stuttgart/Ludwigsburg, 22 May 2015 – MHP is to become the new jersey sponsor for the professional soccer club Stuttgarter Kickers. This was officially confirmed today by the Chairman of the Board of Management of MHP, Dr. Ralf Hofmann, and Kickers President Prof. Dr. Rainer Lorz. Further details on MHP's commitment to the traditional Stuttgart club will be announced at a later date before the start of the new season 2015/16.

Views on the jersey sponsorship:

Dr.-Ing. Ralf Hofmann (Chairman of the Board of Management, MHP):

"Because of our regional responsibility to the main MHP location in the region of Stuttgart/Ludwigsburg and in order to further increase awareness of our company as a very successful consulting company and team player, in future we will also show our commitment to football, the Number One sport, in addition to our sponsorship in basketball (MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg), a team in the 1st Bundesliga and home team at the MHPArena."

Prof. Dr. Rainer Lorz (President, Stuttgarter Kickers):

"We are delighted to have MHP at our side as an ambitious partner with great enthusiasm for sport, and which has already proven its competence in top-level sports at other clubs," said Kickers President Prof. Dr. Rainer Lorz.

Lutz Meschke (Member of the Board for Finances and IT at Porsche AG and Chairman of the Advisory Board at MHP):

"We are pleased to enter a partnership with Stuttgarter Kickers, which complements the already agreed promotion of the upcoming generation by Porsche AG and further strengthens this sponsorship. Stuttgarter Kickers carry out far-sighted and extremely professional work both with the professionals and with the upcoming generation. With this commitment, we want to support the club management in further expanding the successful work of recent years in order to achieve the set targets."

Already in November 2014, the traditional Stuttgart club and Porsche AG announced that the sports car producer would support the Kickers youth section initially for three years from the 2015/2016 season and would also, among other things, provide the name for the soccer academy. Furthermore, a number of additional measures are planned in accordance with the principle "Turbo for Talents" in order to strengthen the youth section work at the Kickers. Not least with the aim of achieving certification from the German Soccer Association for the training center for the upcoming generation.

With its future partnership with Stuttgarter Kickers, the Porsche Corporation is again demonstrating its full commitment to the location of Stuttgart. In this connection, the sports car producer – as also with the cooperations with the German Tennis Federation (incl. the Porsche Talent Team Deutschland), the Porsche Basketballakademie in Ludwigsburg, the ice hockey club SC Bietigheim Steelers (incl. Porsche ice hockey camp) and the second division soccer team RB Leipzig (including Leipzig "quarter final") – is following the same approach: to discover talents through a broad system of promotion of the upcoming generation and to develop them through the years, promising the respective professional teams long-term prospects for optimum success.
