SG BBM Bietigheim

1st and 2nd Bundesliga Handball (2nd home teams)

In addition to the MHP RIESEN and the Stuttgarter Kickers, MHP has been supporting two other teams since the 2014/2015 season, SG BBM Bietigheim, which play some of their home games in the MHPArena.

MHP has been a premium partner of the men's and women's handball teams from Bietigheim since as early as August 2014. The HB Ludwigsburg women's team is one of the top teams in the 1st Women's Handball Bundesliga and the SG BBM men's team is one of the top teams in the 2nd Men's Handball Bundesliga.

The women's team also plays in international competition and plays its home games in Ludwigsburg's MHPArena. The combination of name sponsorship of the MHPArena and the partnership with the MHP RIESEN, SG BBM Bietigheim and HB Ludwigsburg complement each other perfectly. MHP is proud to be able to contribute to the success in handball through the lived partnership with the SG BBM and HB Ludwigsburg. We are looking forward to an exciting season in the MHPArena.

In the 2018/2019 season, the SG BBM women's team became German Handball Champion for the second time after 2016/2017. Furthermore, the team finished 2nd in the Olymp FINAL4 cup tournament and played a successful handball Champions League season until the group stage. In the aborted 2019/2020 pandemic season, our SG BBM women's team finished 2nd and also in the 2020/2021 season, our SG Ladies became the German runner-up behind the German champion BVB Handball Women. And for the first time, our team won the Olymp FINAL4 cup tournament and became the German Handball Cup Winner 2020/2021.

In the current season, our team won the HBF Supercup against BVB Handball Women's Team with confidence.

At the end of the 2024 season, the women's team rebranded as HB Ludwigsburg and continues its success story under the new name.

Congratulations to the whole team and we are very proud of you.

In the 2018/2019 season, the SG BBM men's team had to be relegated from the 1st Handball Bundesliga due to a 25:25 draw in the last game of the season against VfL Gummersbach, and in the aborted 2019/2020 pandemic season, as the third-placed team, narrowly missed being promoted back to the 1st Handball Bundesliga - the strongest handball league in the world.

In the 2020/2021 season, the team had a lot of bad luck with injuries and with the pandemic, and as a result occupies a mid-table position.

With both teams, MHP hopes for numerous successes in the 1st and 2nd Handball Bundesliga in the current season - ideally with a German championship title and promotion - as well as to continue scoring internationally with the SG Ladies.

One team. One goal. Excellent team players.
