The digitalization of cities is increasing rapidly, but stable business cases and attractive financing models are still a long way off. Trustworthy technologies are needed that connect cities, companies and citizens on a neutral platform, enable AI-based, cross-domain use cases on a B2A, B2C marketplace and thus contribute to the achievement of climate protection and sustainability goals. But how can such a platform be financed and turned into a profitable business model?

The three-day Smart Country Convention (SCCON) will focus on the successful digitalization of federal, state and local authorities. Top representatives will show how the challenges of digitalization can be mastered and provide sustainable strategies.

Our MHP speakers, Dr. Sophia-Marie Kronenberg and Erik Oppel, will give the presentation "Rethinking the smart city platform: Intelligently networked and smartly financed". Together with our partner Energiedata 4.0, they will show how an intelligent smart city platform can be financed even in times of tight household budgets. The focus will be on topics such as smart lighting modules that expand existing data sources with sensors and at the same time contribute to energy savings. They will show how these savings enable cities and municipalities to refinance themselves.
