- Practical application: MHP FleetExecuter in use at Porsche in Zuffenhausen
Ludwigsburg – The management and IT consultancy MHP will be represented at LogiMAT 2024 with its proven fleet management solution, the MHP FleetExecuter, as well as the new intralogistics solution supply_it from its ICS portfolio. From March 19 to 21, the Porsche subsidiary will present both software solutions for efficient and cost-effective intralogistics at the international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management in Stuttgart.
Julian Popp, Associated Partner at MHP: “In order to mitigate the logistical challenges within the company, such as volatile order intake, skill shortages, rising costs as well as changing production or logistics requirements, having optimally coordinated processes is becoming ever more important. This includes, in particular, automated material and goods flows. Using digital solutions, such as the MHP FleetExecuter and supply_it, it is possible to increase the level of automation, determine optimum material staging, and support employees in their work.”
Up to 20 percent greater process efficiency
FleetExecuter is a software-based fleet management system that ensures efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable intralogistics in conjunction with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). It is a central, manufacturer-independent control system that controls and organizes AGVs from different manufacturers on the basis of AI, cloud integration, and modularity. It ensures automated and therefore efficient processes, impressively illustrated by its use at automotive supplier Faurecia or at Jungheinrich, a leading intralogistics solution provider. There, FleetExecuter controls the EKS 215a, the first self-supported stacker that ensures efficient hybrid operation in warehouse and production. Porsche has been using FleetExecuter as the central control system in its Zuffenhausen plants since last year. There, the cloud-based solution from MHP not only orchestrates a large number of AVGs but also the lifts, gates, and other equipment involved in the process.
New ICS product supply_it – the intelligent copilot for logistics planners
MHP has added a further logistics solution to its industrial cloud software portfolio. The “Software-as-a Service” solution supply_it has resulted from a successful partnership with Porsche Consulting. The two companies bundled their expertise in the areas of Supply Chain Management and digitalization.
Alexander Santiago, Product Manager supply_it at MHP: “supply_it provides logistics planners with new means for creating transparency and keeping an eye on rising costs. Cost savings for in-house logistics of up to 10 percent are possible.”
The solution maps the complex reality of the in-house logistics processes. Fundamentally, what you have is a digital twin that maps these processes from goods inwards to the assembly site, taking into account costs and restrictions. supply_it recommends the line feeding policies and process variants at the assembly site for each component and determines the configuration generating the lowest overall cost. The relevance for companies lies in the fact that many of them perform their logistics planning manually to a large extent. Not only is that very time-consuming, it is also reflected in the cost. In fact, given the large number of components, costs can only be evaluated for selected component ranges or specific solutions. And the time required rises exponentially with increasing planning task complexity. Consequently, proactive cost analysis and optimization are often virtually impossible. The supply_it solution offers great potential for realizing sustainably effective logistics planning.
Live demonstrations and expert talks at LogiMAT 2024
LogiMAT 2024 visitors are cordially invited to visit the MHP stand B33 in Hall 6 to experience FleetExecuter and supply_it in live demonstrations and have a conversation about the transformative impact of these SaaS solutions with our experts.
And at 10 o’clock on March 19, 2024, Julian Popp will give a talk on the subject of “Smart intralogistics: the FleetExecuter as the key to increasing efficiency and optimizing processes” in Forum South in Hall 8.
Michael Appel and Julian Popp will be delighted to talk to you about the solutions and logistical challenges. Interviews can be arranged upon request at any time and at the venue.
