About the Scaled Agile Framework
The Scaled Agile Framework was released in 2011 by Dean Leffingwell and Drew Jemilo to provide a scale for agile practices. The framework sets out a number of basic principles. The current version – SAFe 5.1 – defines seven core competencies: Lean-agile leadership, team and technical agility, agile product delivery, enterprise solution delivery, lean portfolio management, organizational agility, and continuous learning culture.
