2014 was a record year for most of the 25 leading IT consulting and system integration companies. In Germany, their turnover increased by an average of 7.2 per cent. In total, the top 25 IT consulting companies generated a turnover of 9.8 billion Euro with customers in Germany (2013: 9.5 billion Euro). They thus cover approximately one quarter of the German IT services market.
According to the current Lünendonk list, MHP takes 20th place according to turnover independently of the sector, again rising by one place compared with the previous year. Both as an automotive expert within the automotive industry and across other sectors, MHP has thus already established itself among the leading consulting companies in Germany. Altogether, 18 IT consulting and system integration companies have achieved an increase in turnover. 10 companies even grew by over 10 per cent. MHP, with growth in turnover of 21.9 %, is among the three most successful companies here.
Despite the lack of IT specialists being a frequent theme, the 25 leading IT consulting and system integration companies hired a total of approximately 1,700 new employees in Germany in 2014. This was an increase of 3.3 per cent. Here too, MHP is far above average with an increase in the number of employees of around 13.7 %.
The ranking list of the top 25 IT consulting and system integration companies is made in order to improve comparability of providers with regard to their position on the Germany market and their turnover figures in Germany. However, the list also contains the respective overall turnover figures for the companies which have their main headquarters or their capital majority in Germany.
The positive development of the top 25 in 2014 is closely related to the favorable economic forecasts and the continuing high demand for adjustments to business and IT processes in the course of the digital revolution. The share of IT in value creation is automatically increasing as a result of new technologies and digital business models. For this purpose, the customer companies need efficient and highly innovative service partners who have an integrated conception of business and IT and perfectly combine specialized consulting with IT consulting and system integration.
