MHP has been a sponsor of the Children's Heart Centre, Stuttgart (Olgäle Foundation) for over 10 years. It is, this year, once again a matter very close to our hearts to continue to help children and young people get healthy again. At the gala in the Porsche Museum to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Olgäle Foundation, Dr. Ralf Hofmann, Chairman of the Board at MHP, handed over a cheque for 10,000 Euro to the President of the Olgäle Foundation, Dr. Stefanie Schuster.
The host of the event, Thomas Edig, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Executive Vice President Human Resources of Porsche AG, welcomed the foundation and its guests to the Porsche Museum.
The Olgäle Foundation has made it its business to make the stay of often the most seriously ill children in the Olga Hospital, Stuttgart as easy as possible by providing a children friendly atmosphere, improving the psychosocial care of its small patients and their parents, procuring the latest medical equipment and supporting continuing education and research. Without the tireless efforts of many volunteers, the Olgäle Foundation would not have been able to achieve all that it has over the last 15 years for its young patients, says Schuster.
This was the second time that Harald Schmidt made himself available as the moderator for such a worthy cause. In addition to MHP's donation, all the admission to the gala was also donated to the foundation.
We are very happy to be able to help the small patients, who come from Stuttgart, the region, all over Germany and abroad, to the Olga Hospital, Germany's largest children's hospital.
