Langenargen, 21 May 2015 - The 18th Match Race Germany is due to start today (Thursday). This year, for the fifth year in succession, MHP is on location as a sponsor and important partner of the sailing regatta in Langenargen.
Twelve sailing teams from ten countries are starting the Match Race Germany, competing for the 'Grosser Preis von Deutschland', the winner of which will be honored on Whit Monday after the five-day regatta in Langenargen's Gondelhafen. This year, four teams are coming to Lake Constance directly from the Congressional Cup in California. The US classic race, which has previously been won by sailing stars such as "Mr. America’s Cup" Dennis Conner and Team New Zealand's former skipper Dean Barker, had opened the world championship season for the competing yachtsmen. The second stage of the World Match Racing Tour and first European regatta of the world championship season 2015 is the Match Race Germany, which is one of the most traditional regattas of the worldwide series for the best yachtsmen.
Beside the Olympic Games and catamaran series such as the Extreme Sailing Series, the World Match Racing Tour is the third event at which talented helmsmen can draw attention and recognition from America’s Cup teams.

Beside the many sailing races, there is also a diverse framework program at the location of the Match Race Germany. In this sporting context, MHP will this year, like last year, present everyone with, among other things, a basketball basket.
